fschklog: “Auch fring unterliegt natürlich Apples iPhone OS-Einschränkungen – die Applikation kann nicht im Hintergrund laufen (Anrufe können also nur im aktiven Zustand empfangen werden, fring funktioniert aber auch bei ausgeschaltetem Display) und VoIP lässt sich ausschließlich per WLAN nutzen, nicht jedoch über das Mobilfunknetz. Zudem läuft sämtliche Kommunikation zwangsläufig über frings eigene Server, das muss nicht weiter stören, sollte einem aber bewusst sein.”
