  Wired: “More and more publishers are looking to mobile devices as the next big e-book reader platform, but due to small screen sizes and poor battery life, larger devices like the Kindle and Sony Reader are proving to be a very popular alternative. Amazon’s Kindle (a new version of which is predicted to be announced on Monday) got Oprah’s signature of approval last year, and Citigroup analyst Mark Mahaney, who called it the ‘iPod of the book world,’ estimates nearly half a million were sold in 2008.”
